Today I played a hiring manager in mock interviews to help a colleague with a basic skills class.
Words of advice to interviewees: If I ask a question like, “What skills would you bring to the job that distinguish you from other candidates,” or “tell me about a time when you had to work as a member of a team,” you probably should NOT work your drug addiction or being kicked out of the military into either answer. But that’s just my opinion.
